  • Design and facilitation of interactive training for staff in various primary and secondary schools across the North East on anti-homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying, on behalf of the LGBT Fed, 2017-present.

  • Co-organiser, with Jacky Collins, ‘Lesbians on Screen: How Far Have We Come?, series of screenings at volunteer-run Star and Shadow cinema, Newcastle, May-July 2014, with introductions, discussions and focus groups hosted by Scanlon and Collins (interviewed on Pride Radio North East about the season, 22 April 2014).
  • Co-organiser, ‘Greenham Women: Actions and Impacts’, 7 December, 2013, Northumbria University, featuring talks, discussions and sharing sessions from Greenham veterans and contemporary feminist activists, such as organisers of the North-East Feminist Gathering and the organiser of Newcastle Slutwalk and ‘Stand up to Sexism’ comedy night.
  • Invited opening plenary at the Second North-East Feminist Gathering, West End Women and Girls Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, October 2013. Talk: ‘Fourth-Wave Feminism?’
